What are the mechanical properties of galvanized sheet?
(1) Tensile test:
Galvanized steel sheet specifications (unit: g/m2)
JISG3302 Code Z12 Z18 Z22 Z25 Z27 Z35 Z43 Z50 Z60
Zinc coating 120 180 220 250 270 350 430 500 600
ASTMA525 Code A40 A60 G60 G90 G115 G140 G165 G185 G210
Zinc coating 122 183 183 275 351 427 503 564 640
① Performance indicators: Generally speaking, only galvanized sheets for structural, tensile, and deep drawing applications have tensile properties requirements. Among them, structural galvanized sheets require yield point, tensile strength, and elongation; tensile only requires elongation.
② Test method: The same as the test method for ordinary thin steel sheets.
(2) Bending test:
The bending test is the main item to measure the process performance of thin plates, but the requirements of various national standards for galvanized sheets are not consistent. Except for structural grades, American standards do not require bending and tensile tests for other grades. However, Japan requires bending tests for all grades except structural grades, architectural corrugated sheets, and general corrugated sheets.
Requirements: Generally, after bending the galvanized sheet 180 degrees, the outer surface must not have zinc coating detachment, and the plate base must not have cracking or fracture.
